Brandon laughed, "Regardless of whether or not you think that a girl would be trouble, I'm sure a boy is going to be a lot of trouble too." He had never really considered the fact that having a son meant that they might find themselves with someone who took after him. If their son ended up inheriting half of his personality, he knew that they were going to have their hands full by the time he reached his teen years. It wasn't even that thought which caused a strange feeling to form in the pit of his stomach, it was the fact that he had barely come around to the fact that they were having a baby, but now that they knew that it was a boy, it felt so much more real. "You're going to love being surrounded by Finn boys," he commented teasingly.
Shaking his head at her, he pressed another kiss to her lips. "No, I'm not tired. Get something to eat, tell me all about it, and then I'll be sure to thoroughly make it all up to you."

She giggled. "I'm going to love having a family with you," she corrected, leaning up to kiss him. She smiled softly at his offer to make things up to her and chewed on her lip, tempted to skip dinner all together. But a nagging voice told her she had to take better care of herself than that - she noted it was Cassidy's nagging voice. She reached for a takeout menu and the phone, pressing herself against Brandon with a grin even when she placed her order. Ending the call, she smiled at him, "Thirty whole minutes until my food gets here," she announced, smirking up at him.

He smirked back at her, feeling that now that they seemed to have resolved, or at the very least come to an agreement, on their issues that things were going to be okay. In all honesty, he knew that she had handled all of this a lot better than she had any reason to, and part of him appreciated that more than he could express. He knew he had been irrational and said things he hadn't meant but he hoped that she knew that at the end of the day he would still do anything for her.
Kissing her teasingly, he pulled her hips closer to him. "Well, what should we do for the next half hour, do you think?"

Amber easily allowed him to pull her closer, feeling immensely better now that things seemed to be going back to normal. She sighed gently, holding herself close to him. "I think I have some ideas," she assured him. "I love you," she told him gently. And when she thought about how miserable the time since their argument had been, how sad it had been for him not to be there during her doctor's appointment, she realized that the idea of facing anything that lay ahead of her without him seemed horrible. She let out a breath of relief, taking his hand and tugging him towards the bedroom. "Come on, I missed you today," she whispered.
