Cassidy was relieved to hear that no one had died and then, all of a sudden, she felt her face flush when she realized what was happening. What was funny was that, even though on some level she knew that there were over a dozen sets of eyes on the two of them, she didn't register the soft aw's from her sisters and mother. As Jeremy spoke, her eyes welled with tears from being overwhelmed and happy. She brought her hand to her mouth in a bit of shock though, not having seen this coming at all.
She realized, dimly, that Jeremy was proposing with her grandmother's ring so she realized that he had already asked her family if her mother had given it to him. Dropping her hand from her face, she smiled brightly down at him. Without thinking she practically threw herself into his arms, wrapping her own around his neck. "Yes," she told him softly. "Yes. Yes. Of course, yes," she laughed softly and pressed her lips to his. "Of course I'll marry you. I love you."

All of the nerves that he felt had completely dissipated the moment that he heard her say yes. For a brief second, he had been afraid that the shock registering across her face was going to mean that she had been so completely blindsided by the entire proposal that she was going to say no or something else that he hadn't even had the time to consider. He had grinned widely at hearing her agreement and had nearly toppled onto the floor when she threw herself at him. "I love you too. So much."
Laughing at her excitement, he kissed her back eagerly before remembering that he still hadn't gotten her to take the ring from him. "Your mom had the perfect ring already," he admitted a bit sheepishly, not entirely certain that he wanted to confess the sheer spontaneity of his proposal just yet. "So I figured that there was no time like the present. Besides, I was warned that your nieces and nephews might not have been able to keep a secret," he teased.
