Ellie Tyler had quickly realized that she had underestimated the emotions of teenage girls. She supposed that she had gotten lucky, that instead of going through a stage at thirteen where she had been miserable to be around and had in turn found all of her friends to be annoying, she had waited. Maybe, she tried to justify, it had always been Morgan who had kept her grounded.
The older that she became the more she realized that maybe people had the wrong idea about twins. Maybe instead of the two becoming incredibly similar representations of themselves, they were meant to be mirror opposites, meant to balance each other out in a way that no one else could. Morgan had always provided the logical side of the argument, basing her decisions and her advice more on reason than she did with raw emotion.
She, on the other hand, had never taken that approach. In anything. She liked to call it impulsive and spontaneous, that it provided her with the opportunity to have fun and not think about the consequences, but this time it really seemed to backfire.
Had she been the logical one, she realized, she might never have found herself caught up in perhaps the worst fight she had ever had. Kensi had been her best friend long before she had needed one. She had been happy to go along with Ellie's sense of spontaneity and hadn't ever judged her for the poor decisions that she had made. Which really, she thought, was the start of all of this.
It had been jealousy that had caused her to leave the Halloween party with Will. She had even known that at the time. Morgan and Brody had just started to be ridiculously adorable for the first time and she had quickly realized that she wanted what the two of them had. It had been stupid and irrational, but something had told her that there wasn't anything that going out with her friends could do to satisfy whatever craving for a real relationship she had. She had never really been jealous of her sister before and for whatever reason it had caught her off-guard, making her decide that she could always change Will's mind about actually dating her.
Had someone told her at the time that it wasn't going to work out well for anyone involved, she would have liked to think that she wouldn't have made the same mistake, but she wasn't entirely convinced. She had liked Will - more than she had any reason to - and the speed in which things had started to deteriorate after that had been surprising to her. What had been even more surprising had been the fact that Morgan had made an uncharacteristic and emotional move in punching Will. Being Morgan, she had made the logical and rational decision of graduating early and taking some time to herself to get her life back in order. But Ellie had still hated that she was leaving, and even more she hated that Morgan was doing it because of something she felt she had caused in a small way.
Suddenly without Morgan around, Ellie had begun to rely on Kensi's friendship a lot more and ultimately had become closer to her than she had ever been to another friend before. Kensi had even been the catalyst that had brought Everett into her life, at least in the capacity that had allowed her to get to know him better. And for those five months without Morgan, she had actually been able to move past the fact that her sister was gone.
It was odd - the more that she thought things had started to come together, the more they seemed to fall apart at the same time. In quick succession it seemed like Morgan had returned, Kensi and Jamie had started dating, Everett had cut herself and Kensi out of her life, they had repaired their friendship, Kensi and Jamie had broken up, Morgan had disappeared off to Ithaca, she had started dating Everett, and she had begun fighting with Kensi. She was losing track of whether or not there were more positives versus negatives.
She was trying to force herself not to be overly emotional as got ready for her date with Everett. It was Valentine's Day, she tried to remind herself happily as she pulled out her outfit and made final adjustments to her hair and make up. It was still weird not having Morgan there, she had to admit, though she was excited for her sister to spend her first Valentine's Day with Brody, too. Despite the fact that Morgan and Brody had done nothing to be any less adorable, Ellie was feeling a lot less jealous of their relationship this time around. She wasn't sure if it was because after all of the drama and heartbreak they had experienced in the last year that she felt that they deserved to be happy together, or if it had more to do with her own boyfriend.
Pushing thoughts of her fight with Kensi out of her mind and trying to ignore the memory of her own parents expressing their disapproval at having Everett in her life, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror and made her way to the door to let him in. She was just glad that her parents had opted to go out that evening as well, otherwise she wasn't sure how it would have gone when he had picked her up for their date.
"Hi," she grinned brightly at him, deciding that a night out with him was exactly what she needed to keep from dwelling. "Come on in, my parents already left for the night. Let me just grab my coat and we can go?"

In his twenty years of life, Everett had managed to remain under the radar for the most part. As a young boy it had been more of a survival technique - between his father's tendency to move between indifference and anger at a flip of a switch, he knew that it was always better to keep his head down. Because of that, socializing had also been difficult as he'd never wanted to bring children his own age home just in case Eliot Quinn should return home early from work. From a young age, he'd known that his home wasn't normal compared to the other families he grew up around. And so Everett had become best friends with his mother who always seemed to dote on him and offer him something resembling bright and happy a normal childhood until his father's verbal and emotional abuse had eventually dimmed that light, too.
During high school, Everett had become entirely aware of just how horrible his father was - learning not only about the women his father cheated with, but the way he had alienated the majority of the city. In some instances he'd heard about it, picked up on it from whisperings - but in others Eliot had told him, almost bragging about his tendency to manipulate and hurt people around him. And so Everett, not knowing how many kids his own age knew his father for his infamous legacy, avoided socializing too much then to, to avoid being mistaken as an apple not far from the tree.
A year away after high school had treated Everett well. He had taken time from his father and centered himself but upon returning home had been harshly reminded that in leaving for himself, he'd left his mother alone to fend for herself. Everett had quickly realized he had know choice but to send her away - to make sure that she could get help for her bad habits and get her away from her father. Of course, that had left him alone for Eliot to target and fixate on for a while and Everett was left - having pushed away his friends and sent away his best friend all on his own. Though, he supposed that was his karma for having left her in the first place.
Though most recently, things had taken a turn for the better. Though he'd lost his grandmother as well, she'd left him with enough of an inheritance to escape his father's thumb and pay for his mother's divorce attorney. Now he had an apartment - sparsely furnished as it was - and was booking freelance photography jobs. What was more was that he now had Ellie Tyler back in his life and the truth was that was probably his favorite part. Dating Ellie was an experience. She was fun and spontaneous and it balanced his own tendency to try to remain calm and even tempered.
He was happy to be able to call his mother earlier that day, wish her a happy Valentine's Day and ensure she'd received the flowers and gift he'd sent her. It made him miss his mother more, but he'd also told her about his plans for Ellie that evening and had been glad to hear her voice before departing to pick up his girlfriend. He smiled at Ellie when she opened the door for him.
"Hey," he greeted her with a bright smile. "You look beautiful," he complimented before stepping inside and leaning against the door jamb for her to get her coat.

The adrenaline that she had built up in an effort to stop thinking about the negatives in her life at the moment came to a crashing halt the moment that she took a second to breathe. Ellie wasn't entirely certain that it wasn't Everett who had this calming effect on her, as he tended not to give in to the emotional tirades and impulses that she had a tendency to act on. Instead of immediately turning to grab her coat, he hesitated in front of him for a moment, smiling widely at him. "Hi," she repeated, not sure that she had really given herself a chance to properly say hello to him. Stepping forward, she pressed her lips against his, still feeling a smile tug at her lips.
With everything that had happened between them within the last year or so, she had never noticed how genuinely happy just being around him made her feel. She chastised herself, however, for reflecting on their past as it brought back quick thoughts of the time that they had spent with Kensi as well. Pushing those thoughts away she decided that she wasn't going to focus on it anymore for the rest of the evening. No matter what was going on outside of today or outside of the two of them, that wasn't what this night was supposed to be about.
"What's the game plan for tonight?" she questioned curiously. The excitement over how new this all was still keeping her on her toes, and for as much as she loved living in the moment, the inability to see what was coming next sometimes made her a little crazy. Technically, Everett was the first person she had ever actually dated - sure, she had gone to dinner with other boys before, she had obviously been physically involved with other boys before, but this was the first time that she had actually been in a relationship. And all of Everett's calm and collective nature kept her from feeling like she could even guess about what came next. That's why she wasn't sure what their first Valentine's Day together was supposed to look like. Though, she had to admit, at the moment she kept thinking that maybe their date night could involve them spending a little time alone together in the apartment while her parents were out.

Everett grinned when she kissed him, his hands finding their way to her hips to keep her there for a moment. He bent down to kiss her a bit more firmly. "Hello," he told her. "Well, I made us plans, but they're a surprise," he told her. He kissed her forehead, stepping back and allowing her to grab her coat. The truth was that he didn't want her to know that his plans for them involved them going back to his apartment as he's sure that that would have probably sounded rather dull. But he'd put time and effort into clearing what little furniture he did have out of the way, pinning up some Christmas lights he'd bought on clearance in January, and ensuring that everything he needed for their date was perfect. As much as he had considered the traditional route with their date, he also felt that he wanted something that afforded them a bit more privacy.
He grinned at her, waiting patiently for her to locate her coat before offering her his hand to lead her down to the car he had waiting for them in front of her apartment building.

Part of her had wondered if she could have convinced him to just stay in the apartment and take advantage of the moment, but she tried to argue that they still had plenty of time for that. The truth was that she was so ridiculously excited about her date with him that she was sure that she would have tried to be patient all night so long as it meant that they could continue to spend time together. When they had first started spending time together as friends, she had found herself quickly becoming fond of the time that they had spent together, so much so that she had started to look forward to it. Ellie had figured that had probably been her first clue that she was moving past thinking of him as just her friend, and that her feelings had developed into a full-fledged crush. She wasn't even sure that she had truly realized it until she was faced with the reality that he hadn't wanted her around for a while. But now - now she was not only convinced of her feelings for him, but she was also convinced that she was going to spend as much time with him as possible. Even if that meant patiently waiting for alone time and behaving throughout the course of their date.
"Any hints?" she tried to pry.

Everett grinned at Ellie, ushering her into the car and walking around the other side. Once the driver pulled away from the curb, he shook his head at her. "Nope, no hints," he told her. Instead, he took her hand and laced their fingers together for the duration of the short ride to his apartment building. He made some small chit chat with her while she continued to pry information out of him about it.
---
He hadn't been quite sure how to gauge Ellie's reaction when the car pulled up in front of his apartment building, but he'd just flashed a bright smile at her before getting out of the car and running around to open her door. He led her up to his apartment which, in all honesty, he was still acclimating to in terms of living on his own and smirked at her before pushing the door open. He'd cleared the furniture in his living room to make room for a bunch of blankets and some pillows to keep them comfortable for an indoor picnic, he'd already gotten food from one of her favorite restaurants, dimmed the lights, turned the Christmas lights on, and set up a small projector attached to his laptop facing the wall so that they could watch a movie while they ate. "I thought that we might want to skip the stereotypical night out and just have a quiet evening to ourselves with some privacy," he told her as he gestured for her to walk inside. "Do you like it?"

She had been surprised to find them at his apartment, though when he had smiled at her as he helped her out of the car, she had to admit that trusted that whatever he had in store was going to be better than any traditional dinner date. Ellie had easily returned the grin and when he pushed open the door, she felt a small giggle escape her lips at the sight of what he had planned for them. It was, in a completely Everett-like fashion, sweet, adorable, and sexy all at once. The way that he explained his reasoning behind the indoor date did nothing to keep her from thinking of what exactly they could do with that sort of privacy and suddenly she was perfectly content with the fact that they had left her own empty apartment aside. This was much, much better.
Taking a few steps into the apartment, she turned and nearly launched herself into his arms in excitement. "This is wonderful," she complimented him. "Well done," she added, admittedly teasingly, before kissing him forcefully.

Everett was relieved that he was happy with her plans and when she launched himself at him, he kissed her back hungrily. He had to admit that the near year they had spent leading up to officially starting their relationship together was a long enough wait. He still fancied himself the traditional sort - he took her on dates and treated her with respect. But he was also a twenty year old young man in a relationship with the most stunning young woman he'd ever known. So he easily pulled her close against him and forcibly moved them towards the center of the room. Everett was often calm and reserved but it took some considerable training and effort for him to be that way and so his baser instincts kicked in as he decided that they could forsake dinner for a while. He would reheat it later or order them something new later. At the moment, he wasn't craving food - just Ellie.
He guided her gently down to lay down in the center of his living room before joining her, sure that there were enough pillows and blankets beneath her that she would be comfortable. He brought his lips to her neck and kissed her skin. "Happy Valentine's Day," he told her even as one of his hands tangled in her hair and the other found her thigh, creeping up beneath the fabric of her dress. It was a very nice dress and, knowing Ellie, he knew she'd probably spent a lot of time picking it out. So he decided to leave it on for a while as it wouldn't hinder anything that he had planned for her. "You're so beautiful, Ellie," he told her softly, teeth nipping at her earlobe as his fingers grazed up her inner thigh.

Ellie was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to stop feeling the compulsion to attack him, to kiss him and entwine her body with his in response to everything that he said or did. Just the way that he responded to her kiss was enough for her to pull herself closer to her, getting so caught up in the moment that she barely realized that they had moved into the living room. As he positioned her on top of the mound of pillows and blankets she giggled softly, hoping that this sort of thing never stopped - that she never got tired of jumping on him, and that she especially never tired of kissing him.
Her breath caught in her throat as she felt his hand on her thigh and she bit her lip before smiling up at him. "Happy Valentine's Day," she echoed. The feeling of his teeth against her ear and his fingers against her thigh made her much more aware of the way that her heart continued to race. Catching his lips with her own again, she reached up to pull him down for another feverish kiss.

Everett kissed her back hungrily even as his hand travelled further up. His fingertips found the fabric of her panties. He teased her over the fabric as he kissed her before pulling back with a smirk. He shifted away from her so that he was on his knees. His hands pushed up the fabric of her dress, bunching it up near her hips. "Do you know what happens now?" he asked her rhetorically as his fingers hooked inside of the elastic of her underwear. He made quick of undressing her lower half before he pushed her thighs open and shifted between them, bending down to press his mouth to her inner thigh. "Now I'm going to count how many times I make you scream," he told her. "You let me know if it gets to be too much, Ellie - and I might take a break."
He smirked even as he touched his tongue to her body.

The pulse that she had been feeling beat rampantly in her chest had moved considerably south as he continued to tease her. Ellie wanted to do nothing more than to continue kissing him passionately, letting him torment her body for a bit more before she knew that she would eventually begin to beg him to slide inside of her. When he moved away, she actually moaned at the loss of him, biting hard at her lip when he questioned her and rid her of her panties. Cursing softly, she took a deep breath, trying to compose herself enough to think clearly about what was happening. For all that he remained calm and collected outside of closed doors, it had been the person that he had turned into when they were alone together like this that had caused her to crave the way that he touched her.
She wasn't sure whether it was the heat of his tongue that she was feeling or if her body was reacting immediately to her touch but she moaned loudly, knowing that it wasn't going to take him long at all to start counting how many times she screamed. She was actually very, very glad that they hadn't stayed at her parents' apartment after all. "Don't stop," she encouraged him.

Everett had very little intention of stopping. One of his hands pressed on her thigh, keeping her body open for him while he brought his other hand to her body, sliding a finger inside of her as he continued to lick her. He smirked against her skin as she moaned and reacted to his touch. He could have done this all day, delighting in the way that she tasted and moved towards his touch. "I don't intend on stopping," he told her as he pumped his finger inside of her body, curling them just so. "I could do this all day, Ellie," he informed her before bringing his mouth down to her again. He was more than determined to see how many times he can bring her to orgasm.

Ellie felt like she couldn't get close enough to him. She pressed her body against his hand, forcing his tongue to make contact with as much of her sensitive skin as she could in those few brief seconds. There was an internal conflict raging in her head as she attempted to process what he had said about doing this all day, her body relishing the sensations that were washing over her body, but at the same time, she knew that this wasn't enough for her. She wanted it all. The heated kisses, the feeling of his bare skin against hers, the excitement of having him inside of her. In combination with the way that he continued to touch her and the thoughts that were now forming in her head, she felt her body react violently, her orgasm washing over her as she cried out his name. Well, she thought, that was one.
"Mean," she muttered under her breath.

Everett smirked against her skin, easing off his attention slightly to allow her to catch her breath. When he called her mean, he chuckled and nuzzled the inside of her thigh, moving his fingers slowly inside of her body again. "One," he told her before slowly resuming his attentions to her body. Every teasing taste and touch, he delighted in and despite the fact that he knew that the both of them were really just waiting for the next step, he still took his time in bringing her over the edge again and again until she whined in protest and he knew that perhaps it was time to give her a break. He slid up her body again, fingers toying with the fabric of her dress even as he pressed himself against her, letting her feel just how aroused he was. "I lost count. We'll have to try that again another night," he smirked before dipping his head and kissing her neck gently.

Ellie breathed a little easier when he slid back up her body, giving her a moment to try and pull herself together for a moment. Despite the fact that he had caused her body to tense and release what she was sure was nearly a half-dozen times since they had gotten here, she still wanted nothing more than to follow through on it all. With a smirk, she pushed against him, causing him to fall on his back in a similar position to the one that she had just been in. Reaching for the hem of her dress she pulled it off swiftly, tossing it aside with careless abandon. She wasn't sure how much she was really going to be able to tease him back considering the way that her body still ached for him, but she didn't think it was fair that he was the one who had all of the control.
Leaning down to kiss him sweetly on the mouth, she trailed kisses across his jawline and down the curve of his neck before lamenting the fact that he was still dressed. "This doesn't seem fair, does it?" she questioned softly, reaching to undo his belt and unfasten his pants. She let him lift himself from the pile of pillows and blankets long enough for her to pull the offending clothing down his body, leaving him exposed from the waist down. Tossing his clothes in the general direction that she had abandoned her dress, she bent down, hesitating briefly to push her long blonde hair over her shoulder. She momentarily cursed the fact that she hadn't thought to bring a hair tie but didn't stop. Placing a soft kiss at his tip, she wasted no time before taking him into her mouth, moaning softly as the way that her body reacted to the action.
