Cooper smiled at Madison. It seemed the more they came to realize that they were on the same page, the wider his smile grew. Yes, he wished that his wife could have adopted Melanie and legally become the mother that the little girl deserved. But he'd meant it when he called it all simply paper work and he wanted a family - one that could grow with them, one that would give Melanie a brother or sister to play with, and a baby for them both to dote on. He wouldn't admit that he would have really liked a boy, too, but in the back of his mind that lingering thought was there too.
He leaned forward, kissing her quickly. "I agree. And I think at the very least, we should start practicing," he smirked.

Madison laughed, nodding her agreement. "Something told me that you were going to be exceptionally fond of that part."
Looking over at where Melanie was still happily keeping herself occupied, she smiled again. "Do you think she's going to like being a big sister? I know it's going to be a big change for everyone but I think it might be kind of nice. Plus, depending on when we get pregnant, it's kind of amazing to think about our kid getting to grow up with Riley and Adam's twins." Actually, the more she thought about it the more that she realized that any baby that they had was likely to grow up with a great group of friends already built into their social circle.

Cooper smiled at Madison, taking her hand in his and stroking his thumb over her knuckles. "I think that Melanie will be great about it. She didn't grow up around a lot of other kids, I think that she'll work really hard to make sure it's different for a baby," he nodded. "Plus he or she will have a lot of friends - between Brody, the Tyler twins. I think the timing is perfect." He grinned at his wife and squeezed her hand. "So, are we going to start trying?"

Maddy grinned and nodded, "I think so." It really did seem like the more that she thought about it, the more it not only made sense but made her a little excited too. She supposed that eventually their marriage might have led to this point, but six months into it, she thought that maybe they would have thought that it was still too soon. She was glad that she had been wrong about that considering the fact that he was right - the timing was perfect. "We should probably start tonight," she nodded. "Just in case we need to practice."
