Madison hadn't realized how relieved she was to be away from the entire debacle until she felt that she was suddenly breathing much more easily. She hadn't realized that she had been holding her breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop and bracing herself for impact. "Yeah, I'm okay." She nodded, sipping at her drink more heartily than she had probably should have. "I just really hate that woman. They're both just so ... awful." Madison had felt stupid for ever thinking that Parker could be anyone other than who he had proven to be tonight.
Adam sighed and squeezed Riley's hand reassuringly. He had seen her in the aftermath of the situation with Eliot and Garrett, but he had sort of reasoned that her anger and threats against them were only natural considering all that they had put her through. And now, in the defense of her friend, Adam had seen a side of Riley that he hadn't really known had existed. The part that was perhaps the most terrifying of it all was that he didn't doubt for a second that she would do everything in her power to make sure that every threat came to fruition if needed. He silently hoped that he never found himself on the receiving end of her anger as he wasn't sure how he would fare at the end of it all. "Are you okay?"
Olivia laughed dryly and shook her head, "Oh please, don't tell me that you actually think she has the power to do anything that she threatened. It's just that, it's a threat." In all honesty, she wasn't entirely convinced that Riley wouldn't try and follow through on anything she said, Liv just had a hard time imagining that any of it would stick. There were certain advantages to her role in society.
Brandon smirked at Amber, somewhat pleased that they had actually been the innocent party in all of the unfolding drama. "It's kind of nice being on the outside," he remarked. "If you think you need to go check on her, that's fine. I should probably go try and sell more people on working with Finn Industries anyway."

Cooper nodded at Madison, glowering past her at Parker and Liv. "They'll get what's coming to them," he assured her. "But that's on them, and - that entire display aside, I am glad that you came tonight, Madison," he smiled at her.
Riley allowed herself to be led away by Adam, "I'm okay," she assured him. "I just...Mads of all people, I don't know how anyone could treat her that way. You know, she was basically the only person that was nice to me when we were younger. Everyone else either couldn't care less or were awful," she shook her head and then frowned at him. "I'm sorry about that, though. I know there are people you work with around and I didn't...I shouldn't have done that."
Parker looked at Olivia, lifting an eyebrow. "I think that she'll do everything that she said and more if provoked, Olivia," he nodded. "Maybe not to you, but at the very least to me and if this launch doesn't go well, it's back to the drawing board in San Francisco or wherever we can make rent. You understand that, don't you? That the reason I take all of this so seriously is because I've put ten years of my life into it and if it doesn't work, the company gets sent packing and that's if there's a way to salvage it, if not we get sent packing and I have to figure out where to start from square one. I think she's very serious, and I have to meet with our legal team later to discuss it."
Amber grinned at Brandon before leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips. "You go do that while I check on her," she nodded, smiling at him. "Maybe later you can sell me on coming to work with you guys, mainly because I just like hearing you talk about work," she teased before squeezing his hand and going off in Madison's direction. She cleared her throat as she approached the brunette and Cooper. "Hi, I just wanted to come and say hi," she nodded.

Madison nodded her agreement with Cooper, she was absolutely certain that the other two were going to find themselves in a situation they couldn't talk their way out of soon enough. She smiled appreciatively at him, "Thank you - I'm just glad that you guys were all here. I probably could not have stood up for myself nearly as well as you or Riley did." Hearing Amber clear her throat she turned and looked at her with a small smile, "Hi. How has your evening been going?" Hopefully, someone's night hadn't been filled with as much drama as hers had already.
Adam knew that she hadn't meant to phrase it in such a way, but part of him suddenly felt badly that he hadn't paid much attention to her in high school. It wasn't until a few interactions with her in law school that he had actually realized that this wasn't the first time they had been in the same class together. He had been so wrapped up in his own little world, his own little drama, that he had missed out on the opportunity to get to know her sooner. Smiling softly at her, he shook his head dismissively. "I don't blame you for what you did or what you said. I think enough people understand how Olivia Warren works - actually, it might work out better this way."

Amber smiled at Maddy, nodding her head. "It's been good, Brandon's all shop talk tonight and I've just been...people watching," she admitted sheepishly. "Anyway, I guess that I also wanted to come by just to let you know that if you need anything, anything. Just call me, okay? I've been there before with them, and I've been worse than them, I know all the tricks," she teased.
"Actually," Cooper interjected. "I need something. I need you to watch Melanie so that I can take Madison out to dinner this week," he grinned.
Ticking her eyebrow up, Amber nodded with a smile.
Riley sighed, wrapping her arms around Adam and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Work out better how?" she asked curiously. She gently smoothed out his collar and looked at him with a smile, "So I could save you from further interaction with her?" she giggled. "Olivia Warren is just...sad to me now," she nodded. "Maybe when I was a kid, she bothered me." Shrugging, Riley grinned at him, "But other than that, how'd I do? I clean up pretty nicely, huh?" she grinned, gesturing to herself and the dress that had become a point of argument between them both.

Madison had almost forgotten how much Amber and Brandon Finn had gone toe-to-toe with Parker and Olivia in high school. It was kind of a reassuring thought that someone knew what it was like to have to deal with whatever insanity they cooked up for the sake of keeping themselves amused. "Thank you, Amber. I really appreciate it. And I might take you up on it." She smiled kindly at the other woman before Cooper interjected about taking her out. Well, she certainly wasn't going to argue about that.
Adam grinned at her, "You look beautiful." He hated to say that their argument had been worth all of this, but on some level it had actually been. Not only was he proud of her for how she had handled herself in the situation with Olivia, but he was proud of her for this entire evening. He just wanted to shake her a little and get her to see that she had every right to feel comfortable in these situations as she certainly belonged there more than people like Olivia. "Well, I think you saved me from having to play nice with her and Parker Blye, but I'm sure there's also plenty of clients and potential clients who dislike her too. So I'm hoping that being on your team won me a few points with them too." In all honesty, he figured that even if it hadn't, it had been worth it to have someone finally say something to them after that display.

Amber smiled at Maddy, placing a hand on her arm quickly. "Any time, I mean it," she promised before nudging Cooper and deciding to give the two of them a moment again.
Cooper smiled down at Madison. "I hope that wasn't too forward," he laughed, running his hand through his hair. "I just figured, since she was here promising favors. It's always important to take advantage when you catch Amber on a generous day," he joked and then nodded. "But I also think, maybe I've been owing you that dinner for a bit too long now," he winked. The truth was that Cooper liked Madison a lot, probably more than he had let himself like any woman since his divorce. That being said, he knew that it wasn't going to be easy by any means. Though, while he knew he'd been set on taking her to dinner, there was maybe a fire lit under him after tonight to prove to her that he wanted to spend more time with her.

Maddy smiled at Amber again and nodded, making a mental note to call her soon for a girl's day soon. She honestly had been surprised to find how quickly she had found herself enjoying Amber's company. Either she blonde woman had changed over the years or Maddy had been too quick to judge her before. "No - I don't think it was too forward. I'm the one who - " She cut herself off quickly, still trying to forget her own stupid act of forwardness. "I'd love to go to dinner with you."
