If there was a way for them both to avoid having to talk to his parents about what just happened, he would have been more than happy to do it. Brody kept thinking that it really wasn't going to be as bad as he anticipated, but he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to look at his parents knowing that they knew that he and Morgan had just slept with each other. "I think our studying sessions are going to be a lot different now," he smiled at her, thinking that if their study dates kept ending up this way, he was up to planning much more of these than they had in the past.
He kissed her again before pulling away again. It was going to be very dangerous to kiss her now, he realized. He was always going to want it to turn into something more now. "Should we get it over with?" he asked, giving a nod in the direction of the door. He wasn't sure how long they could hang out here without it getting much worse.

Morgan nodded, her hand reaching down to find his while her other hand reached for her bookbag. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," she replied. She gave his hand a soft squeeze and waited for him to unlock and open his bedroom door. She took a deep breath, already feeling her face getting red as she prepared to go out and walk past his parents. She wondered if she could get out the door without a word being exchanged between them.
Amber had finished her drink and was in the middle of texting Riley and perusing takeout menus for dinner when she heard the click of the lock on Brody's door. She looked up at Brandon and did her very best to stifle a giggle. "I kind of want to stare at them and see which one cracks and says something awkward first," she nodded. "I'm a horrible mom."

Brandon laughed and shook his head, "You're not a horrible mom. This is an impossible situation, I don't know how anyone is supposed to remain perfectly serious about something like this." He kept thinking that if it would have been him, it wouldn't have mattered what hsi parents would have said, he would have continued to do whatever he wanted to do. He knew that Brody was a lot different now than he had been at eighteen, however, and so while he knew that it was probably important to say something to him, all he could think of saying was something along the lines of "good job".
Brody squeezed her hand back and kissed her once more before unlocking his door. He took a quick deep breath before walking out of his room, doing his best to not look directly at his parents. There hadn't been a time in his life where he remembered being as embarrassed as he was right at that minute. All he could do was keep reminding himself that all they needed to do was make it to the front door.

Morgan had never found her shoes so interesting as she made her way to the door with Brody's hand in hers. She could practically feel his parents looking at them and didn't really want to look up and engage in any discussion. When she reached the front door with him, she let out a soft breath. She was reluctant to let go of his hand, but she turned and looked up at him. Despite the fact that her face was bright red, she gave him a small shy smile. "I'll see you tomorrow at school?" she said, hesitating quickly before leaning up to kiss him quickly on the lips.

Brody smiled at her in return, knowing that if her face had flushed so much in such a short span of time, it might take a while for her to be perfectly comfortable coming back without his bedroom door being securely locked. "I'll see you tomorrow," he told her, nodding before kissing her back just as quickly. He didn't want to let her go, but he felt as though he needed to get her to leave just so that he could deal with whatever teasing, or even potential lectures, that his parents had for him. Closing the door behind her he sighed heavily, heading back toward the area where he was sure he had seen his parents waiting. He had no idea what to expect and since nothing like this had ever happened before, he didn't have anything to even compare it to. He just hoped that he was going to be able to look at his mother again some day, but right now all he could think of was the fact that she knew exactly what they had been up to. "Okay, just say what you have to say." Figuring that it was better to just brace for it and attack it head-on, he tried to prepare himself for whatever his parents were about to say.
Brandon was fighting the urge to laugh at the entire awkward situation between Brody and Morgan as they made their way to the door. "How was studying?" he asked when his son entered the room.

Amber was prepared, really. She was prepared to be calm and rational and a responsible parent. And then Brody had come into the room, resigned to whatever it is that they wanted to say. And then Brandon spoke, and she dissolved into giggles. "Brody, for someone who's been telling us to lock our door since...you know, your first full sentence, you'd think you would." She shook her head and then looked up at him seriously. "Really though, sweetheart, you're eighteen, I don't know what I'm supposed to say to you. We've all talked about this before and, well, you know we think Morgan is a very sweet girl. And I know that you know I'm still too young and pretty to be a grandmother, and - you know - be good."
She nodded slightly, turning back to Brandon. "Did we need to say anything else? Or can we decide what to get for dinner?" she looked at Brody again. "Did you want to say anything or...ask us anything?" she added awkwardly.

Brody was trying very hard not to flush at his mom's statement about them shutting their own door. It was less about the facts surrounding the whole thing and much more about the fact that he was never going to be able to forget the fact that the very first time he slept with Morgan, his mom walked in on them. Though, he was glad that they hadn't just left it there because he would have hated to think that there was only a not-so-positive memory coming from all of Morgan's obvious pre-planning. "Right," he agreed, ensuring that he was going to be good, or whatever that implied. He assumed that she was talking about safe sex and suddenly he was remembering the last time that his mom and dad had tried to have a sex talk with him. He supposed that this time was going a lot better than it had before, at least it was much more brief.
Brandon shook his head, "I don't think so. We've covered the basics on being safe and that's really the big thing. Though, in the future, if you're having a study session with her, it might be better have it outside of your bedroom. Just to make sure that actual studying is getting done."
"Okay," Brody agreed. "I don't have anything else to say about this." He nodded, hoping that they were able to change the subject now. "Can we get Chinese for dinner?"
