Morgan Tyler wasn't sure why she was nervous. She'd spent a great deal of her childhood sitting on Brody Finn's bed, doing their homework and spending time with her best friend. Sometimes, she'd spent time with him to the point that his parents wondered aloud if she ever even went home. For as long as she could remember, he had been a constant in her life. Now, with the idea of him going off to college lingering in her mind, she was making some decisions on what she really wanted. And the truth was the answer to that question was that she wanted him.
So it was different and she was nervous. She had a feeling that it had to do with the silk Victoria's Secret slip she had on underneath her dress and the fact that the last time they'd been on his bed, they'd spent most of the night kissing and his lips had tasted like liquor and spearmint and something else she couldn't place but liked immensely. She tried to focus on her textbook, even as she was acutely aware of how close he was to her and the fact that she'd come over with a completely different goal than getting their homework completed. Turning to him, she smiled softly, "Can you help me with this one?" she asked him sweetly. Math wasn't her strong point, especially now that she was getting into statistics. It just wasn't something she wrapped her mind around as easily as Brody.
She chewed on her lip and turned the textbook towards him, reaching over to point at it with the tip of her pencil. She wondered what exactly would happen if she just kissed him, but she wasn't sure. Part of her had been worried that the previous night had only happened because they'd been drinking.

He felt like he had been watching her the entire time that she had been here. Brody was sure that the reality of the situation was that he had been staring at the homework that lay in front of him, but every time he looked up at her he seemed to become fixated. He kept trying to argue that she was just his closest friend and that he was only looking at her as a way of illustrating that he was giving her his undivided attention, but it wasn't true. He had recently seen her in a new light, well, rather he had allowed himself to momentarily think of her in a different way than he had before. She had always been the "girl next door", with the one exception being that she didn't actually live next door. But she had always been a constant in his life for as long as he could remember, and their relationship had never really been all that complicated. He had thought that he had always known how he felt about her but within the last couple of years he became much more aware of the fact that what he had been thinking the entire time had been wrong. She wasn't the awkward little girl who used to follow him around and try and make him play games with her and her sister, she had grown into something entirely different. She was smart and beautiful, driven and simply easy to talk to. Being around her made his heart beat a little faster and made it a little more difficult for him to focus.
That's why he appreciated that she pointed out exactly which math problem she needed help with. Brody wasn't sure that he had actually focused on any of the homework they were meant to be doing. All he could think about was the fact that the last time they were in his bedroom, he had kissed her in the way that he had been thinking about kissing her for a while now. And it had seemed so ... right. It had just seemed to make sense. "Oh, sure," he said before looking over the problem and explaining it to her carefully. This had been how their study dates had always gone, he knew, but now he couldn't stop fixating on the way that she was chewing at her lip. Realizing that he was probably staring, he cleared his throat softly and looked back down at the homework problem. "Does that make sense?"

Morgan was trying to listen, really she was, but she got distracted and ended up glancing down at his lips when he was speaking. "I...huh?" she asked, wincing a bit. "Sorry, I zoned out a bit," she admitted. She smiled softly at him, looking back down at her textbook and trying to remember what he'd said. She licked her lips as a voice in the back of her head told her to kiss him, but that might throw a wrench in her carefully thought out plan. She played idly with her hair, which she'd set in loose curls at home before coming over. The more she thought about why, she more her stomach twisted into knots. Clearing her throat she looked down at the textbook. "Do you mind getting me a glass of water? I'm not feeling too great," she requested.

Brody smiled softly at her. He understood the part about zoning out, at least. Everything that she was doing seemed to make him acutely aware of the fact that if this was how the rest of their study sessions were going to go over the course of the year, they probably weren't going to be doing much learning of anything. Though, his thoughts quickly ammended, there were plenty of things that they could learn that weren't in their textbooks. For example, when she licked her lips he started wondering what they might feel like under his own again. He was convinced that he had already forgotten and needed to have his memory refreshed. Or when she played with her hair, he wondered what it might feel like to tangle his hand in the red curls as he pulled her closer and kissed her. His thoughts began to move into a very dangerous territory and he was glad when she interrupted to ask for some water. "Sure," he said, probably much too eagerly.
Getting up from his bed, he made his way quickly out of his bedroom and closed the door behind him, not wanting Morgan to see the several deep breaths that he suddenly felt the urge to take.

Morgan was up off of his bed the moment he was outside of his room and she moved quickly. She unzipped her dress and toed out of her shoes, setting them up in a neat pile off to the side and putting their books on his dresser. She glanced in the mirror, frowning a bit and wondering if this was a mistake - if he was going to walk back in and turn her down. She'd gone shopping and had carefully selected a piece of lingerie, after sifting through a bunch of things she thought looked pretty trashy and found something that she liked. It was dark green and wasn't too sheer, but she'd thought about it and had purchased it, hidden it in the back corner of her closet until she got ready to go to the Penthouse and study with him. She examined her hair before reaching into her bag for her lip balm. Then she ran into the problem of deciding where to go. Standing awkwardly in the middle of his room wasn't going to do. She sat down on the edge of his bed, but felt just as uncomfortable. So instead, she scooted back against the headboard and sat there. In the short moment she had before he came back in the room, her mind was racing and her heart was pounding. She looked down at her hands and noted that her nail polish was chipping.

It really didn't seem to matter how many deep breaths he had taken, or that he had forced himself to down a glass of water to try and stop thinking about how soft and full her lips were, because no matter what thoughts filled his head, he hadn't been prepared for reality. Brody barely had enough clarity of mind to realize that he should shut the door behind him, but he closed it firmly and leaned against it for a second, water glass still in hand. There was no point in pretending now that things were the same as they had always been. If he had thought for a minute that she had wanted to forget that they had made out on that very bed the last time they had been in here together, he certainly wasn't thinking it anymore. "Hi," he offered weakly. His heart was racing and he wasn't sure what his next move should be. Every fiber of his being wanted to climb into bed with her and see where their physical relationship was heading, though he was sure he had a pretty good idea, but part of him hesitated. He had never had sex with anyone before, and he was sure that she hadn't either. It was the fact that she hadn't that caused him to hesitate, fearing that if he acted on instinct that she might think that he was rushing thing. But she was the one in lingerie, he noted.
Taking a second to fully process the realities of the situation, he noted that she had changed out of her dress and was now wearing less than he thought he had ever seen her wear. Setting the glass of water down, he slowly crossed over to his bed, sitting down in front of her. Leaning toward her, he pressed a soft kiss to her lips, knowing that if she were to let him, he had every intention of altering their friendship even more so. Kissing her made him highly alert to the fact that he wanted her now more than he had ever wanted anyone before. "Are you sure?" he asked, just to clarify that it wasn't something that she was going to regret later. He would have hated to have their friendship destroyed.

Morgan bit her lip when he seemed otherwise flummoxed and she panicked a bit. Her mind racing a bit and she wondered if she should apologize and exit. It wasn't until he kissed her softly that she took a moment to stop thinking so much. When he asked if she was sure though, there was no hesitation. Because despite being nervous she was certainly sure.
She nodded at him. "I've been thinking about it, a lot. And I decided that I think first times should mean something. And next year, you're going away to college and I thought that no matter what happens, I want us both to have this and know it was with someone who cared about us. And I do, care about you, I mean. There's no one I trust or care about nearly enough to want to other than you."
"I mean, if you want to. If you don't, I understand." And her mind raced again. "Is this weird? Did I make this weird?"

Brody grinned at her, his hand coming up to rest on the side of her cheek, his thumb tracing along her cheekbone softly. "Yes," he said with a small nod. "You made it weird. But only because you didn't have to give me an out. I can't say that I haven't been thinking about it too. And you," his grin widened as he looked down to survey her in the lingerie that she was wearing. "You are amazing."
It hadn't been what he had originally planned on saying to her, but it seemed stupid to go on a tangent about how felt about her when a small part of him still wasn't sure what this meant for them. Was she doing this just because he was her best friend and neither of them wanted to go to college without having sex with another person? Or was she doing it because she had feelings for him? Either way, he decided not to dwell on the specifics and instead pulled her closer, kissing her deeply as he had at the party. He had kept replaying that moment over and over again in his head and now that he had the opportunity to repeat it, he was having a hard time moving as slowly as he had then. "As long as your sure," he added, a smirk rising to his lips.
His hands trailed down to her waist, brushing against her body as they did so before he pulled her down so that he was nearly laying down on top of her. Propping himself up on one elbow, he continued to kiss her deeply, his free hand slowly exploring her body.

Morgan smiled softly when he kissed her, gasping softly when he maneuvered her and shifted on top of her. Her arms wound around him, fingers grasping at the fabric of his shirt. She let out a soft whimper when his hands skimmed her body, back instinctively arching to be closer to his touch.
She kissed him back deeply, slowly. Her own hands sliding along his torso as though she was trying to memorize every inch. She wasn't sure what this really meant for them, would she hold his hand the next day at school or would this never happen again? She didn't want to think about it, instead her fingers moved to gather the material of his shirt, hinting that he should remove it. After all, she was half naked, so fair was fair.

He smirked against her lips and pulled away from her long enough to pull his shirt off over his head, tossing it aside with careless abandon. In the back of his mind, Brody was afraid that any second that he wasn't kissing her might give her enough time to think about what they were doing and change her mind. He knew that he didn't want to force her to do anything that she wanted to do, and if she wanted out then he was sure he'd figure a way to get her out of it, but he wasn't sure that he had the willpower to stop at the moment. Deciding to take advantage of the momentary pause, his moved to unbutton his pants quickly. Standing up for a minute to pull them off, he grinned at her before climbing back on top of his bed.
Resuming what he had been doing before he took off his own clothes, he kissed her firmly, his tongue finding his way to meet hers. A small voice in the back of his head seemed to keep trying to remind him that this was Morgan Tyler of all people, and that as her best friend he should try and show some restraint, but a very prominent part of his body kept arguing that he wanted this, he wanted her.

Amber returned from work, phone tucked between her ear and shoulder as she chatted briefly with Cassidy. Brandon was going to be home soon enough and she figured she would check in on her son. Dropping her things by the couch and toeing out of her shoes, she walked to his bedroom. "Hey, Brody. Want to help me decide what to order for dinner before your da- Ah!" She had pushed the door open without knocking. Maybe that was bad on her part, but this hadn't really been an issue before (that she knew of). "Uh. I...Jesus!" She exclaimed before shutting the door again. Flustered, Amber cringed a bit and decided she'd try to fix herself a drink. She wasn't sure how much room she had to do much else.

Morgan's fingers were exploring Brody's upper body as she kissed him back eagerly. She moaned into his mouth and didn't even register the sound of the door opening until Brody's mother exclaimed loudly. She jerked back, eyes going wide for a moment and then squeezing shut again. "Oh God," she said. "Tell me this is some sick twisted nightmare and your mother didn't just walk in." Covering her face with her hands for a moment she sighed before separating her fingers and peeking through them at him. "...Is she going to come back to yell at us?"

Brody froze hearing his mother's voice and he squeezed his eyes shut, wincing as though the action might make her somehow go away, or at the very least make the entire situation go away. He should have thought to lock the door, he realized. Or his mother should have at least learned how to knock on the door. Once the door closed again he let out a deep breath. Still propping up on top of Morgan, he looked down at her and shook his head. "I am so sorry," he started there, figuring that it was the truth, he should have been more careful, or he should have ensured that his mother wasn't going to come barging into the room at any moment. At her question, he suddenly realized how different her family actually was from his own. "No, I think she's going to stay out there for a while. If she wanted to yell at us she would have done it already."
The truth was, he wasn't actually certain if there were going to be concequences for his actions. For their actions. It wasn't as though he didn't know what his parents were up to, and it definitely wasn't like he had never walked in on them before. His first real memory of being a kid might have been walking in on his parents but he had spent so much time trying to block it out that he just wasn't sure anymore. Either way, he truly believed that if his mom had been upset, she would have said something from the other side of the closed door. "Since we're not in trouble then... should we pick up where we left off?" He smirked at her and pressed a quick kiss to her lips.

Morgan looked up at Brody, chewing on her lip. "You still want to?" She asked him, somewhat baffled. She thought maybe he would be embarrassed and would want to deal with his parents. But he kissed her softly and her eyes fluttered shut. "Brody," she let out with a soft laugh. "You don't think it's weird that your mom is out there and if we stay in here she's going to know what we're doing?" she asked curiously even as her fingers traced lightly down his arms.
Part of her thought that she should go. But it was difficult for her to find the will to extricate herself from the situation. She licked her lips and looked up at him. "You should lock the door. In case your dad comes home, doesn't get the memo and wants to ask you what you want for dinner."

He laughed softly and smiled at her, "Of course I still want to," he figured that maybe he should have explained to her that it was because he liked her and he wanted to have some sort of relationship with her, but it was hard for him to put into words everything that he wanted to say. Then there was the fact that he still wasn't sure if she even liked him in that way, though he was coming around to the idea that she absolutely did. "And yes, it's probably a little weird but she already figured that we were doing something and didn't stop us, so ..."
Kissing her again, he gave another laugh and nodded his agreement before standing up and crossing over to the door. Once he heard the lock slide into place he turned back to her with a wide grin. "Are you sure that you still want to?" Brody knew that if he got back into that bed with her, there wasn't going to be a way to stop himself this time. Especially now that he had made it impossible for anymore parents to come bursting through the door.
