Brody sighed, slouching down a bit in his chair. At the time, it had felt like a valiant effort to save Morgan from getting into more trouble, but now with both of his parents here and his mother's apparent concern that he might have been lying about being fine, he felt like the whole situation was ridiculous. He could even hear his mom trying to stifle some sort of amusement at the entire situation and he couldn't help but feel like maybe Morgan had been right the entire time, he shouldn't have been there.
Brandon took Amber's hand, squeezing it when she seemed to find amusement at the entire thing. Looking down at his shoes for a brief moment, he tried to keep the smile from fully taking shape on his lips. It was ridiculous, he knew, the thought that Morgan Tyler would be the one who would snap first and hit someone. He had half-expected to find Brody responsible for the hitting, if he was being honest, just because he knew what sort of temper their son had inherited. It didn't seem like that long ago that he had let his own temper get the best of him and he had been on the receiving end of assault charges. Thanks in a large part to Riley, he had been able to make them go away, but looking at the three kids in the office, Brandon wasn't sure that they were going to be able to make their own punishments go away.
Liv ignored Will's dismissal for a moment, still looking at him with concern. The nonchalant way that Morgan Tyler was describing what happened did nothing to soothe her concerns or her anger. She wasn't naive enough to think that her son was completely innocent in the entire exchange, but the violence that had been displayed toward him was something that she was certain any parent would have a hard time with. "Obviously she intended to cause him harm, regardless of what this supposed good reason was. I would like to see her severely punished for that behavior."
Adam sighed and shook his head softly. Sometimes his daughter's own stubbornness made him sympathetic to the sort of frustrations that he was sure that he was constantly putting Riley through. It was perhaps his worst trait, and unfortunately, it seemed like both of their daughters had inherited a combination of both his own stubbornness as well as Riley's, it was a hopeless cause to argue with them at times. But, as much as he hated to admit it, Liv was right. At the moment it was just a supposed good reason, there was no way to decide whether or not that was actually true without knowing the details. He just didn't know how to get Morgan to share it, at least not without trying to do a little detective work. Obviously she wanted to symbolically and literally tell him to keep his mouth shut, which implied to Adam that the young man had said something, but he just wasn't sure what they could have been. "Morgan, you have to tell us."
