Olivia had never given much thought to what her wedding would have been like. She had assumed that when the time came that she would have only married someone out of convenience, out of a desire to have someone support her and a desire not to be alone. How things had turned out had actually been a pleasant surprise, she had to admit. On some level, she supposed that she had always hoped that she would have ended up here, and much to her chagrin she had spent the last several months actually getting to plan what she thought her perfect wedding would have been. Rather, she had hired someone to do all of the difficult work and she just got to point at things she liked and call things atrocious and ghastly when she hated it. She had opted to have her wedding in London for the sheer fact that she knew that she was neither particularly fond of anyone there nor did she want her wedding compared to anyone else's in the city. Though she had surprised people, she supposed, when she opted to invite Brandon Finn and Amber Jacobs to their wedding. In the last year or so, she had come to realize that she disliked their company much less than she had ever thought she would have. Another side effect of growing up, she thought.
Looking around the reception hall, she noted that she had great taste and that her wedding planner had certainly done her job well. It helped, she had to add, that she suddenly felt as though she would have been able to handle it even if something had gone wrong. It wasn't true, of course, and she was well aware of the fact that she would have no problem tearing into someone if something went amiss. Though, ultimately, there was a certain sense of sheer happiness surrounding her at the moment. Smiling brightly at Parker, she sought his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I swear, if I have to say hello to another one of my mother's friends I've never met before, I will kick them all out of here."

A few years ago, Parker might have not believed that he would be getting married at this point in his life - in fact, before returning to New York for work, he wasn't even sure he would have even attended his high school reunion. But he did believe that no matter what course his life had taken he would have eventually found himself right here with Olivia at his side. Try to fight it as he might have after graduating high school, their lives had been intertwined for as long as he could remember and the years that he went without her seemed like a blur of white noise where nothing was in vivid color. They'd had a few bumps along the way, but he had known he was going to propose to her months before he had. He supposed the only struggle was whether or not she would say yes - and luckily for him, she had.
Parker chuckled at Olivia, pulling her close to him and bending down to give her a kiss. "Well, I'd gladly kick them all out for you, love. It is our big day, after all," he quipped. He looked around and then smiled at her. "I think it all looks rather wonderful if I do say so myself, though I am admittedly much more interested in the wedding night than the wedding reception."

Olivia grinned at him, feeling as though the entire thing was still a little surreal. She was certainly looking forward to their wedding night as well, though she was enjoying being the center of attention at a party that she had gotten to plan. From the modern black and white decor, the white orchids in the centerpieces, and the accents of crystal that had been used to bring a little sparkle to the low-lit room, she felt as though all parties should only be decorated by her or the people she hired to make decisions. She had also decided that she didn't particularly want to ever take her wedding dress off, enjoying the fact that she felt sexy and empowered in front of all of her family and acquaintances. Though, she certainly was willing to toss it aside in favor of their post-wedding activities.
"That I have wonderful plans for as well," she teased him. "Shall we grab a drink and thank everyone for coming so that we can steal a few moments for ourselves?"
Brandon smiled at his fiance, pressing a kiss to her lips quickly. Coming to London had been a struggle in itself, what with their infant son at home and Amber's hesitation to leave him, but part of him thought that it had been worth it. It was really their first true public outing where he got to show off Amber as his beautiful fiance and the mother of his child, though he supposed that the worst part of it all was that there weren't nearly enough people in the room that they knew well enough to make a big fuss about it. But, he had to consider, that was probably for the best as he was sure that he didn't want to see what sort of wrath Olivia could turn on them if they ended up stealing her thunder at all. "Ours will be better," he told her teasingly.

Amber looked at Brandon, smiling softly at his comment. Since arriving in London, Cassidy had already yelled at her twice to stop calling and texting so much to check in on the baby. Since Brody had been born, Amber's most constant companion was her own son - what with Brandon at work during the week and Amber home each day with their infant son. Not that she was complaining, every day with Brody was a new adventure as he discovered something new - like his own nose. She wouldn't have traded it in for anything, which is why she'd been avoiding answering many of her former colleagues' questions about whether or not she'd be returning to work soon, having already decided that she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom with Brody through his formative first few years. "Ours will be," she told Brandon. "Though, everything about this was really lovely. Our centerpieces are going to be different though, and darker for the bridesmaids dresses, and the tables are going to be set up more like..." she realized she was well on her way to describing their entire wedding, which was already planned in her mind and had been for quite some time. "Different. It'll be different." Leaning in, she pressed a kiss to his lips again and nodded at her, "I love you," she said gently before pausing and nodding. "Brody's going to go down the aisle in a wagon and a little tuxedo," she informed him matter-of-factly, then once again missing their son.
Parker smiled down at Liv, "I'd like to steal a moment now," he admitted. "You look quite stunning and it's everything I can do to not ravish you right here in front of everyone," he nodded but then chuckled, pressing another kiss to her lips to the light applause of some onlookers. "But I suppose we should thank some of our guests, especially those that flew over an ocean." And of those there were a handful of acquaintances from work that he'd been obligated to invite, a few old friends, and Amber Jacobs and Brandon Finn. Deciding that the last two were the least boring, he placed his hand on the small of his wife's back and led her towards them.

Brandon had to smirk at her as she was able to pinpoint exactly what she had hoped to do differently at their own wedding in the fall. As soon as a fall wedding sounded, he supposed that he wouldn't have been surprised had Amber announced her intentions of getting married that summer, or even that spring. He figured that after all of this time, their own wedding had just been an inevitability and so at this point nothing surprised him at all in terms of planning their own day. In fact, he supposed he would have been surprised if there was anything left for them to actually plan out at all, especially considering the way that Amber seemed to already have a clear picture of their day in her mind. He had to admit that he loved it. He loved that she had been so certain that this day was going to come, even in spite of his own hesitations and mistakes.
At the mention of their son, he reached out and took her hand, squeezing it softly. As much as it wasn't easy for her to be away from him, and as much as he was glad that they had some time to themselves, he missed Brody as well. But, he reminded himself, they had left Jeremy and Cassidy with strict instructions that if even looked like Brody was about to do something major milestone-esque that they filmed it, called them, and filled in all of the details. Considering Brody's newfound habit of babbling incessantly to everyone, he wouldn't have been surprised if their son started saying real words long before development said he should. "I think that sounds perfect," he told her.
Olivia found it incredibly difficult not to take him up on his offer, but his gentle reminder that they should thank people for coming forced her to remember that despite the fact that this was her day, there were certain obligations that she had to complete. And, all things considered, she figured that she hated Brandon and Amber's company a lot less than she once had. Since they had flown across the Atlantic for their wedding, she figured that they may haved hated herself and Parker a lot less than they once had.
"Hello," she greeted them brightly. "Thank you so much for coming. Amber, you must be getting excited now that it's your turn."

Amber smiled softly at Brandon, squeezing his hand back. Amber had always had a clear picture of what her own wedding to Brandon would look like but had never become quite so acutely aware of it as she had when she'd been planning her first wedding back in California, pushing those thoughts away, she simply sipped her drink and leaned in a little closer towards him. As much as she did miss Brody, she had to admit having time alone with him was wonderful. "Careful, dear, last time you and I were in Europe together and you were charming, we ended up with Brody," she teased.
She never would have guessed that she would be engaged to Brandon and attending Parker and Olivia's wedding, but she had to say that time had healed most wounds and when the bride and groom approached them, she smiled back happily. "Thank you for having us, the ceremony was lovely and your dress is gorgeous," she complimented. At the mention of her own wedding, she laughed softly, shrugging a shoulder up. "Sometimes I can still hardly believe it. It still feels like seven months is a way's away, but it'll probably be here before we know it."
Parker smiled at them, offering his hand out to Brandon. "Really do appreciate you making the trip out," he told Brandon honestly. The truth was that, in the years that had past, his working relationship with Brandon had also allowed him to bury some feelings of ill will he'd been holding on to from when he'd only been a teenager. He felt it was a testament to his growth, but also the growth of all four of them, that things had come this far.

If Amber had been trying to discourage him from having the sort of night that he had planned for them when they were back at the hotel, she was doing a terrible job. Brandon had been able to smirk at her, thoughts of exactly what he had been intending on doing later that evening rising to the surface, just before the bride and groom appeared. No matter what had happened in the past or what he was sure had the potential of occurring in the future, he figured that the idea that all four of them could be in a room together without shouting was a certain step toward growth and maturity.
Shaking Parker's hand and smiling politely, he nodded softly. "Absolutely," he dismissed the 'thank you's easily, knowing that it hadn't actually been a very difficult decision to make. The worst part had been leaving Brody, but after a few assurances that they would have a wonderful time and that Cassidy and Jeremy had it covered, they had gone about planning their time away.
"Maybe I should be thanking you," he added. "This gave us a perfect excuse for a little alone time. Though, it wasn't easy convincing Amber that we would be able to survive without Brody for a couple of days."
Olivia smiled at Amber, having to admit that she appreciated the compliments. Having attending enough weddings of her own acquaintances, she knew that it was difficult not to compare, judge, and formulate ideas about her own wedding, so she supposed she wouldn't have been surprised had Amber mentioned her own plans at this point. Admittedly, Liv was a little curious about what exactly Amber Jacobs' wedding to Brandon Finn would look like, if only because she knew that it had not only been a long time coming, but it was bound to be a so-called "event of the year". Another reason to be glad she had gotten married in London, she supposed.
"Oh, seven months will fly," she nodded. "Especially as I'm sure you're terribly busy already with your son, career, and the like." At the mention of Amber's son, she was sharply reminded of the last time she had seen the infant boy and the strange feeling she had experienced holding him for the first time. Technically he was the first baby she had ever held and that alone she was sure was going to stick with her for a little while. But now that she was married, and now that she thought back to meeting the little blue-eyed baby, she started to realize that maybe it was something that she could want after all. She certainly didn't think Parker would mind that revelation. "Have you gotten much planned already?"

Amber smiled at Liv, feeling a bit silly admitting it. "Well, most of it is planned already," she told the other woman. "I think, actually, all that's left is waiting on RSVPs and showing up," she joked. The truth was that there were a few things to still handle, but the venue had been booked and everything else had begun falling into place. She even had her dress in mind, it was just the matter of trying it on and making sure that everything was absolutely perfect. Planning her own wedding had come so easily that she was practically already planning Cassidy and Jeremy's in her head, as well. She turned her attention to Liv. "Where are you going for your honeymoon?" she asked curiously.
Parker chuckled at Brandon, nodding at him. "Well, I'm glad that she was convinced to join us, though I can understand why she'd be apprehensive about leaving behind the little one," he acknowledged, wondering if perhaps a child was in the cards for he and Liv in the future. He didn't want to dwell on it as he wasn't set on having it one way or another, but he did enjoy the activities that could lead up to such a life event.
