That's ridiculous. You wouldn't do that. Can't you just get them to stop the story for running? Sue them for defamation of character?

I did cheat on him, Maddy. Technically speaking, I slept with someone else. But what the story isn't going to mention is that Garrett is in the closet and has been seeing someone named Timothy for the better part of a year or more, and I've known about it since before I accepted his proposal.
