He grinned at Cassidy, amused by Amber's assistant, as always. He was glad that Amber had found someone like her in California, it had made the entire idea of her being away for so long seem like she wasn't entirely miserable. He decided that the first thing in the morning he would have chocolates sent over to Cassidy as a way of saying thank you for letting him into the apartment. He had an entirely different gift in mind for Amber - on that conveyed his appreciation for her forgiveness, but also would prove practical as they worked to break in her new bed.
"We have always been particularly good at that part," he agreed, smirk forming on his lips. "Show me your new bed."
He untangled his arm from around her and stood from the couch before offering his hand to her, inviting her to lead him to her room.
