Ms. Ellis,
Thank you very much for reaching out to me. My company is extremely interested in speaking to members of your organization regarding digital publications, as we're consistently looking for ways to diversify and better our products. That being said, I was hoping to schedule meetings with a few members of your team as well as our developers, to better understand aspects of your business and see how we might proceed.
If possible, I was hoping to speak with a member of senior staff, a member of your company's marketing team, and an associate editor such as Madison Walker, who I personally attended secondary school with and whose opinion I highly regard. Please let me know if Harper Collins would be interested in scheduling such a meeting perhaps over lunch sometime in the coming two weeks.
Regards, Parker Blye

Parker,
Dana asked me to work with you to arrange a time for our teams to meet and discuss what solutions you might be able to provide us with. Is there a time that works best for you? Generally Thursdays and Fridays are slower here at the office so it shouldn't be a problem at all to get our team together for a lunch meeting.
Also, you really shouldn't have asked for me to be involved in this. This is really Dana's responsibility as she's a stakeholder on our digital publication project - if that's even what you really wanted to talk about. I'm not an idiot, you know. I Googled you and the company to see what it is that you do. Regardless, we do have a project on the docket to see if we can move more of our publications to a digital platform, so if you genuinely have a solution - we're interested in hearing it.
Please let me know a day and time that work for you and I'll go ahead and sent out the meeting invitation.
Thank you, Madison Walker

Hi Madison,
Your friend from school seems like he'd like you to handle arranging this, for whatever reason. Can you go ahead and get something set up with his team to further discuss with the stakeholders for the digital project? My calendar should be up-to-date, please send over a meeting invitation as soon as you have the details worked out.
Thank you, - Dana

Madison,
I'll have you know that I asked for your involvement because, as I explained to your superior, I hope for this meeting to be a bit more exploratory in nature and I highly respect your opinions and knowledge - as I also wanted to speak to a senior team member and a member of the marketing team to see how smoothly we might move this operation alone.
I'm very glad that you can Google, because that means that you know about our programming for home entertainment systems and might even believe that integrating digital publications might be something our clientele might be interested in. Don't get me wrong, I greatly prefer cracked spines and yellowed pages, but I am a communications point man for a tech start up, not the National Archives, and so the discussion falls where it must. We can provide the platform. Two of my developers will be coming along to explain it far better than I can.
Friday sounds perfect. I'll have my assistant make a lunch reservation for 1:30PM at that new place in Midtown on Fifth. I hear their daily fresh seafood menu is fantastic.
Regards, Parker Blye
