She had yet another point, he had to admit, they did generally seem to excel at everything that they did together. Maybe that was their secret, Brandon thought, that their strength really came from what they did when they were together. Trying to make a relationship and a future work with someone who wasn't Amber hadn't worked, and it had failed for a lot of reasons but mostly because he didn't have the stomach to have a future with someone that he kept comparing to Amber endlessly. Being with her over the last few months had reminded him of the fact that he couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life with anyone else, and now that he had something that was going to solidify their relationship over the next eighteen years. The question really came down to what was next for them, and what he was expected to do next. "So what do we do now?" he asked, wondering if she had given it any thought.

Amber took a breath, she shrugged a shoulder up. "Now in the long term? I have to schedule another doctor's appointment soon, just to make sure everything is going well," she nodded. "Which means I'll probably have to tell Cassidy soon, because if not she'll start stalking me on her off hours. That girl read too much Nancy Drew growing up - normally I'd say we shouldn't tell anyone until after the first trimester, but she's too involved in my schedule and day-to-day. If there's anyone you feel that you need to tell, like your parents or something - there's that too." She took another sip of her water and pursed her lips, "In the immediate? Maybe we could order some dinner and stay in tonight? I got a bit sick earlier today and I'm exhausted."

He shook his head, trying to think for a moment about what he would say to his parents and if they would even care. Truthfully, since this particular development in his life didn't directly affect them, he wasn't sure that they would really have much to say about it. Additionally, they hadn't seemed too particularly interested in any of the other changes and developments in his life over the years, with the exception of his father handing off his role at work. "No, I think just telling Cassidy about it is good." He briefly thought back to what she had said in the past about him needing to have more friends, and he contemplated if he would have ever told anything like this to Eliot in the past. It was really almost laughable to think about. Brandon knew that the other man would have just laughed, told him something along the lines of needing to get out of the relationship, and told them that they needed to get a drink. Recalling what Eliot had said about Amber, he easily pushed the thought away and smiled softly at her, "What do you want to do for dinner? I can order something for us and you can go find something for us to watch tonight?"

Amber smiled at Brandon and shrugged her shoulder, she rummaged around the drawers in the kitchen for the take out menus she'd stashed there not long after moving in. She pursed her lips and held up two. "Either of these sound good," she nodded, holding them up for him. She hesitated a moment before leaning up and pressing her lips against his in a soft kiss. "I think we should watch something funny," she announced. "You know, I think that'd be good."
